When choosing the plant species, we favoured especially those that have inhabited near the railways of Tampere since the University is located near the railway. We sowed, for example, <i>Echium vulgare, Cota tinctoria, Centaurea scabiosa<\/i>, and <i>Cynoglossum officinale<\/i> seeds on the meadow.<\/span><br><\/p><p>In addition to the meadow, we implemented a living roof on the roof of the underpass from the campus to the other side of Kalevantie. There, we sowed sun-exposed dry meadow habitat plant species, such as <i>Silene nutans, Hylotelephium telephium, Viscaria vulgaris<\/i>, and <i>Astragalus alpinus<\/i>. The plants sown are of local origin, and their wild population origins are traceable. Tampere University is located on a completely developed Kalevanharju (lit. 'Kaleva Esker') esker. The living roof offers a habitat for regressing, demanding esker species.&nbsp;<\/p><p>Our nonprofit has managed the meadow and the roof by weeding and sowing more seeds.
