Wild Zone began landscaping the disused gravel pit in Ty\u00f6l\u00e4j\u00e4rvi, located in Pinsi\u00f6nkangas, Yl\u00f6j\u00e4rvi, in 2015. Traditionally, gravel pits have been landscaped by planting trees. At the Ty\u00f6l\u00e4j\u00e4rvi gravel pit, we wanted to try growing plant species typical of eskers, sun-exposed slopes, and dry meadows, and such that are also significant for nature's biodiversity. The landscaping of the Ty\u00f6l\u00e4j\u00e4rvi gravel pit was implemented in cooperation with Tampereen Infra Oy.<\/p>\n
